Around the World, Close to Home

SEPTEMBER 2009  |  Talk about culture! Where else can you enjoy world-renowned films for both adults and kids, great jazz, parties and art, all with an international flavour? The Art Gallery of Hamilton and Festitalia have joined forces to present an international film festival for an international audience.

It features such films as Francis Ford Coppola’s Tetro, Matteo Garrone’s Gomorrah,and Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s Sugar. The Spotlight Series presents four screenings at Westdale Theatre, showcasing critically-acclaimed Canadian films, including: Amal, My Winnipeg, The Stone Angel, and Fugitive Pieces.

We're honoured to announce that Shooting Eye's award-winning short film, Service, will also play as part of the festival that runs from Wednesday, September 23^rd through Sunday, September 27^th, 2009.
