And what interesting timing for its subject matter. For months and months, North Americans have been following the ups and downs of Jim Balsillie's quest to bring an NHL team to Hamilton. What many don't realize is that Hamilton once had its very own NHL team.

Sizzling Hot Summer
AUGUST 2009 | Okay, so it's not been the hottest summer we've seen in Southern Ontario, but things are heating up every Sunday night on SunTV and Monday on MenTV as the Pressure Cooker TV series cooks up a storm. It's been described as Hell's Kitchen colliding with The Amazing Race, as 16 professional chefs compete in a grueling culinary elimination marathon.

Unbelievable Radar Man Returns
JULY 2009 | He's back. An unlikely superhero known as The Unbelievable Radar Man returns to the stage at Hamilton's 2009 Fringe Festival.
For comic book lovers and theatre enthusiasts, Aaron Lam's Fringe Festival play, The Right Turne, was like lightning in a bottle last summer at the Hamilton Fringe Festival. Lam was so thrilled with the experience and especially the audience response, that he's written a sequel called The Left Turne.

24-Hour Film Frenzy

UPDATE: On May 9, 2009 at the Gala Event for the Hamilton 24-Hour Film Festival, Team Shooting Eye won 1st Prize by Jury and Best Cinematography for the film, "Service". Read co-director Jeremy Major's report on the making of the film and then view the film online.
MAY 2009 | Imagine having only 24 hours to make a film. From idea to completion in one day.
This was the assignment at the Hamilton 24-Hour Film Festival, a competitive event on May 1, 2009 that kicked off a week long schedule of workshops and screenings aimed at Southern Ontario filmmakers. And, well... The Shooting Eye was there.
